The Single Malt Map

Happy Friday, all!  In celebration of surviving your first week back at work in 2012, we’d like to share this handy single malt whisky flavor map.  And in case you were curious, this community manager likes her scotch smoky and light with a single ice cube.  How do you like yours?

    Awesome Map. :)

I’m a water on the side guy because I never seem to use the same amount of water and control is everything.

I just picked up a bottle of Cardhu and I’m willing to share.

My drinking budget is quite tight these days and I like a smoky drink. I stumbled upon the Bowmore “Legend”, admittedly the old Islay distillery’s “bottom of the line” bottle at about US$26. I was most pleasantly surprised by how satisfying it was. I’d guess it would be positioned somewhere in the lower part of the upper left quadrant of your Flavour Map. Does anyone have an opinion on the “Legend”? I already know I can get a more “complex” drink for more money, but right now, for $26, it really hits the spot.
